Registration Going On Now. Registration for the next school year will began on March 1. We will be registering all families online and the enrollment fee is reduced to $40 per family grades K-12. If you have students at St. Mary, JCMS, and/or Lumen Christi you will be able to enroll all of them for one $40 fee. The enrollment fee replaces all registration fees (St. Mary has charged a $100 registration fee for several years) and is a definite savings for all families. This reduction was made possible through the combined efforts of the Jackson Area Catholic Schools in Consortium. Financial Aid applications will be online beginning March 1. The diocesan middle school scholarship application is online now, information was sent with your sixth grader.
Pre-K Registration Going On Now. Registration for the 2010-2011 school year has begun. Registration packets can be picked up at the school office at 116 E. Wesley. Your cild must be four years old by December 1, 2010. For more information call Rosemary Hensrud or Sandy Haynes at the school office and leave a message. You may also call the school on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 9 AM and NOON. This program is located in the school building and has been "your child's best start" since 1976.
Child Care Registration Going On Now. Open enrollment for the 2010-11 school year will began March 1st. We offer Preschool, Kindergarten Readiness, Developmental Kindergarten and Latchkey services from 6AM to 6PM. For more information please stop by or call 784-3366.
Lenten Reading Challenge The Reading Challenge began on Ash Wednesday. The goal is to have every student read something other than school work for 15-30 minutes every day during Lent. This could take the place of something that they are giving up, or it could just be added on to each day. Please return the Family Reading Record every Thursday. A new one will be sent in the Messenger each week. Prizes include (but are not limited to) bicycles, books, and better readers.
Pennies From Heaven Our Pennies from Heaven Collection will resume during Lent. The money collected will go to the Community Holiday Dinner for Easter. Students may sign a decoration for each donation that they make. The drive begins now and runs until March 26
St. Mary's School Shopping Bags. We are selling St. Mary's School logo shopping bags at the school office. They are $2 a piece and make great gifts. You can use them to carry your groceries in, carry stuffed animals, storage bag, carry a pillow to sleepover, etc. They are a great way to advertise our school.
St. Mary Child Care and Development Center gift certificates. St. Mary Child Care and Development Center is now offering gift certificates, redeemable for child care services. If you are interested in purchasing one for a family member or friend, please call them or stop in for details.
